' SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM PROGRESS REPORT 3rd QUARTER 1987 A.

SPDS Progress 1.

The Unit-One plant computer was delivered in August following completion of factory acceptance testing.

l 2.

Unit One and Unit Two Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) drawing changes, resulting from the integration of the computer with the data acquisition I

system, are being identified. These are primarily associated with the state

{

of contacts.

1 3.

Installation of new Control Room furniture for both units, which incorporates SPDS displays, was completed in early. August.

4.

A backup power supply for the computer room heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system is being investigated.

1 B.

Status of Software Development and Testina 1.

Prior to shipment, the Unit One plant computer was used at the factory to l

test remaining software. This software (which will be used on both Units),

demonstrated improved display response times. Additional functions such as real time video trending and x-y plot capability were tested.

l 2.

Presently, the Unit One plant computer is being configured (temporarily) to operate in parallel with the Unit Two plant computer. This will allow it to receive real time data from the Unit Two data acquisition system for additional acceptance testing of both units' software.

3.

Following site acceptance testing of the Unit One plant computer, it will be used to develop, incorporate, and test revised SPDS software for both units.

I C.

Critical Path Item 1.

On-site testing and associated software changes continue to be the critical path.
