STORAGE OF HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN ONSITE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF HYDROGEN WATER CHEMISTRY (TAC N05. 64537 AND 64538)

RE: Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 By letters dated May 27 and August 24, 1987, the Philadelphia Electric Company submitted safety analysis information for the storage of liquid hydrogen and oxygen onsite and other information related to the implementation of hydrogen water chemistry at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS).

We have evaluated this information and find that the permanent hydrogen water installation is acceptable. Our evaluation is provided in the enclosure. A related amendment application dealing with the setpoint for the main steamline radiation monitor is being reviewed separately.
