.others of this office on December 14-17, 1987, of activities at the LaSalle
County Nuclear. Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, authorized by.NRC Operating

Licenses No. NPF-11 and NPF-18,'and to the discussion of our findings with

. Messrs..N. Kalivianakis.and R. Bishop and others at the conclusion of the
inspection.

The enclosed copy-of our inspection report identifies areas examined during

the inspection'. Within'these areas,.the. inspection consisted of a selective
!
examinationLof procedures and representative records, observations, and
' interviews ~with personnel.
NoLviolations;ofjNRC' requirements were identified during the course of this
,
.. inspection.
As stated in Section 8 of this report, your staff made a commitment that three-
individuals would.be fully trained for the Station-Director's Communicator
- position and would be identified as.such in the Station's callout procedure
by January.31,l1988.
If your understanding of this commitment does not' agree
with ours, please contact our office immediately.
In accor' dance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and'the enclosed inspection report wi'l be placed in the NRC
'Public. Document Room.
