NRC INSPECTION OF RANCHO SECO.
This refers-to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. C. Ramsey of this
office.on November 16 through' November.19, 1987, of activities authorized by
NRC License No. DPR-54,'and to the discussion of findings held with Mr..Tipton-
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

The inspection was an examination of your. corrective actions on previously
identified open itus. relating to fire' protection. -Within these areas,,the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and

. representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Based on your comments at.the exit meeting and in a meeting held
at the Region V office on November 21, 1987, our understanding. of corrective
actions you will take on the concerns raised by the inspector. prior to and-
post restart is summarized'in appendices A and B of the report.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.

discuss them with you.
