NOTICE OF VIOLATION Cleveland Illuminating Company Docket-No. 50-440 As a result of the inspection conducting on June 29-July 1, and August 24-29, 1987, and in accordance with " General Statement of Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Action, 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1986), the following violation was identified.
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V, as implemented by Cleveland Illuminating UFSAR Section 17, 2.5, requires that activities affecting quality be prescribed by documented instructions and procedures and accomplished in accordance with those-instructions and procedures.
Contrary to the above, as required by Procedure No. POP 602 the licensee failed to update an ITT vendor manual when a change to the manual was identified in FCR No. 4492.
This is'a Severity Level V violation (Supplement I).
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to the violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
