CONFIRMATION OF ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION REGARDING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.3.2. - DOCKET N0. 50-366 On December 22, 1987, NRC granted verbal enforcement discretion concerning plant Hatch Unit 2 Technical Specification 3.3.2, Table 3.3.2-3, Item 3.a. in a telephone conversation with L. Gucwa of your staff.
NRC received your letter i
dated December 22, 1987 describing the request and agreements. This GPC letter has been reviewed by the NRC staff.
This letter confirms that enforcetuent discretion is granted to permit operating Unit 2 without isolating the Reactor Water Cleanup System (RWCU), in order to prevent undesirable effects on react.or water chemistry.
Justification for operation in this condition is addressed in the GPC letter dated December 22, 1987.
