Board of Director approval several organization changes ~and executive appoint-

ments effective immediately. These changes affect the Senior management responsible for the operation of our two nuclear generating f acilities, Big Rock Point and Palisades.
Joseph F Paquette, Jr..previously Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Consumers ' Power Company and CMS Energy was-elected President of CMS Energy and President and Chief Operating Officer of Consumers Power Company.

I Dr Frederick W Buckman, previously Vice President of Nuclear Operations of

Consumers Power Conpany, was elected Senior Vice President of Energy Supply of I
Consumers Power Company. Dr Buckman succeeds Jack W Reynolds who is retiring.
For the short term, Dr Buckman does not plan on naming a successor for his previous position. He will continue to perform his previous functions in addition to his new responsibilities. Dr Buckman will be responsible for all power plant and fuel supply activities for Consumers Power Company's electric and gas operations. Dr Buckman reports directly to Joe Paquette.
Reporting to Dr Buckman will be the Vice President of Fossil and Hydro Operations, the Vice President of Gas Transmission / Fuel Supply, the Vice President of Energy Supply Services, the Plant General Manager of Palisades Plant and the Plant Manager of Big Rock Point Plant.
In addition, the remaining Nuclear Operations Department direct reports will also continue reporting directly to Dr Buckman.
