NOTICE OF VIOLATION Detroit Edison Company Docket No. 50-341 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 5 through June 8, 1987, and in accordance with the " General Policy'and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the following violation was identified:

Surveillance and test activities of safety-related equipment."

1 Contrary to the above, surveillance procedure 44.120.028, " Post Accident Monitoring-Drywell Hydrogen /0xygen Analyzer Calibration Division I," did not 4
specify in writing how software modifications would be accomplished to assure proper gas analyzer output.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement I).
J The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to this violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
