SUBJECT:
MEETING WITH DOE TO REVIEW THE MODULAR HTGR PRELIMINARY SAFETY INFORMATION DOCUMENT (PSID) CHAPTER 13.1, THE EMERGENCY PLANNING BASIS REPORT, THE PRA DOCUMENT' AND OTHER ISSUES The subject meeting is the seventh in a series of meetings with DOE and its contractors to discuss NRC comments on the conceptual desian for the modular HTGR. The meeting will be held on July 15, 1987 and July 16,1987 in Room P-118 and will begin at 9:00 a.m.
A preliminary agenda is enclosed.
The review will consist of a discussion of PSID Chapter 13.1, " Position on Emergency Preparedness," the Emergency Planning Basis Document, and the PRA document. Other issues will include discussion of the role of the operator, and accidents beyond the design basis. Reviewers for this material, together with contractors from ORNL and BNL, should plan to meet in my office at 1:00 p.m. on July 14, 1987 to discuss their planned comments on the subject documents.
