SUBJECT:
BIG ROCK POINT PLANT - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST RE: ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (TAC NO. M96945)
Dear Mr. Powers:
By letter dated October 15,1996, Consumers Energy Company applied for an amendment to ths Big Rock Point Plant Operating License No. DPR-6. The proposed changes would have modified the facility technical specifications (TS) pertaining the use of Option B Performance Based Requirements, of Appendix J to 10 CFR Part 50, for the Type A, Type B, and Type C tests, in addition, the amendment request proposed several editorial changes to the Big Rock Point TS.
By letter dated April 22,1997, Consunsers Energy provided a supplement that superseded the October 15,1996, amendment request and withdrew the portion of the amendment request pertaining to the implementation of Option B, Performance Based Requirements, of Appendix J to 10 CFR Part 50.
Subsequently, by letter dated August 25,1997 Consumens Energy withdrew the amendment request pertaining to revision of th' editorial changes.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
