Chairman Jackson's Comments on SECY 97-137 I approve the staff's proposed resolution of the NEl Petition for Rulemaking (PRM 70-7) a nd its proposed recommendations for proceeding with rulemaking to revise 10 CFR Part 70. Thi staff should continue to keep the Commission informed of its rulemaking activities and proviae tee Commission with a set of milestones and anticipated completion dates for this rulemaking.
