NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-263/97011(DRS)
Dear Mr. Wadley:
On July 10,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at Monticello Nuclear Generating
facility. The enclosed report represents the results of that inspection. This inspection
reviewed activities associated with your installation of the emergency core cooling system
suction strainers and the pressure-suppression chamber coating program. No violations of
NRC requirements were identiflod duriag the course of this inspection.
Observations by the NRC inspectors concluded that your installation activities were
performed to the latest industry guidelines and procedures. Overall, modification efforts
were well organized with appropriate levels of managem3nt oversight,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Hules of Practice," a copy of this letter,
its enclosure (s), and your response will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
