submit the additional information to support the long-term use of Mechanical l
Nozzle Seal Assemblies (MNSAs) at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, l
Units 2 and 3, by April 30, 1998.
The NRC requested the additional information by the referenced l
February 17, 1998, letter and requested that it be submitted within 45 days.
However, to ensure that SCE is providing a complete response to the NRC's request and to finalize the proposed inspection program, SCE needs the additional time.
