.r Ladies and Gentlemen:
By letter dated July 1,1997, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) committed to submit the Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP) - specific Improved Technical Specifications (ITS) conversion package in March 1998. This package was submitted on March 12,1998 and included the marked-up pages of both the Farley Current Tecimical Specifications (CTS) and the Improved Standard Technical Specifications (ISTS). In addition, documentation discussing the changes made to the CTS, justifications of changes to the ISTS, and the Significant Hazards Evaluations (SHEs) for the conversion were included. The July 1 1997 letter also committed SNC to submit a clean-typed copy of the FNP-specific ITS and Bases in April 1998. Attached in two volumes is the clean-typed copy.
During review of the submitted package for the creation of the clean-typed copy, r,ome changes were made to correct minor editorial errors and inconsistencies within the package.
These changes have not affected the previously submitted SHEs. The changes are included in Attachment 1. These pages should be substituted for the corresponding pages in the March 12,1998 submittal.
