By letter dated December 1,1995, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) provided notification of the intent to implement Improved Technical Specifications for Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP). This letter revises the submittal and implementation dates stated in the December 1,1995 letter. Present plans are for submittal of a License Amendment request reflecting application of the NUREG-1431 guidance to the FNP specific design and current licensing basis in March 1998. This will be followed by a clean, typed copy of the new Technical Specifications and Bases in April 1998. A new implementation date will be determined after submittal.
This infom1ation is provided to facilitate NRC resource planning for License Amendment review and approval. SNC will notify the NRC of substantial changes in these plans.
