1. Is the " Management Review" now described in Section 2.2.6 eouivalent in scope and depth to that previously described in Section 1.2.2.2 (Northeast Utilities Quality Assurance Program Rev. 18 Section 1.2.2.2 designated the Executive V.P. - Nuclear)?asAlso, -

" responsible to assess the scope, status, implementation, and effectiveness of the NUQAP." Who holds such responsibility under the proposed Rev. 19 to the NVQAP7

-2. There appears to be an inconsistency between Figure 1.1 and Section 1.4.1 (i.e., Director - Performance Evaluation vs. Director -

Engineering Programs). Please explain. 1

3. Section 12.2.1, " Calibration Program," - Third Paragraph: Does review and approval by the Station Operations Review Committee / Plant Operations Review Committee or the Qualified Reviewer Program gnly apply to the H&TE Calibration Program procedures?
4. The definition of " Safety-Related Structures Systems, and Components" in Appendix 0 should be revised to be consistent with the formal definition of the term in 10 CFR 50.2, " Definitions." (See 62 FR 47268 dated September 8, 1997). Also, where in the NVQAP is the term " Safety Structures Systems, and Components" defined?
5. Appendix E, Program Exception 13: While it is unprecedented to remove the Quality Assurance procedures list from the NVQAP, it is not clear from the text provided what the alternative is or its acceptability with regard to Appendix B requirements. Please clarify.

-6. Appendix E Program Exception 11: The NRC's order is dated August 14, 1996.
