BUILDING 42 O/A CALIBRATION - RELEASE TO UNRESTRICTED USE (TAC NO. L31231)
Dear Dr. Asmussen:
In accordance with your application dated August 18,1999, and pursuant to Part 70 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Materials License SNM-696 is hereby amended to release the Building 42 O/A Calibration Lab to unrestricted use and delete references to this area from the license.
Your request stated that Building 42 has no history of use of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensed material but will remain under the State of California License Number 0145-37.
We have determined that your request is reasonable and Building 42 need not remain listed under the NRC license. Further, we have determined that removal of this area from SNM-696 will havo no impact upon public health and safety or the environment.
Accordingly, Safety License Con' ition S-1 has been revised to include the date of d
August 18,1999 (Building 42).
i If, in the future, you desire to use licensed materials and conduct licensed activities in these facilities you must amend your license.
All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
Enclosed are copies of the Materials License SNM-696 and the Safety Evaluation Report, which includes the Categorical Exclusion determination.
