By letter date.d September 28,1999, the Combustion Engineering Owners Group (CEOG) clarifiedy their position on Generic Issue 23 (GSI-23), " Reactor Coolant Pump Saal Failures."
The CEOG position on GSI-23 is that GSI-23 should be completely closed out with no remaining CEOG plant specific issues. Their basis for this position is the information previously provided to the NRC that cites the testing and plant operations experience resulting in no seal failures.
Attached is the list of attendees for the September 2,1999, meeting that was inadveriently omitted from the September 21,1999, meeting summary.
