SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-456/97014(DRS); 50-457/97014(DRS)
Dear Mr. Stanley:
On August 15,1907, the NRC completed an inspection at your Braldwood Nuclear Power
Station, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of this inspection was to review the licensed operator
roqualification program. The enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.
The inspectors concluded the licensed reactor operator and senior reactor operator
requalification programs were being implemented in accordance with 10 CFR Part 55
requirements. Examination material prepared by your training staff, and operator evaluations
performed by both your training and operations staffs, were good.
The inspectors noted that facility control room operators were attentive to their panels and were
knowledgable of current plant conditions,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.700 of the NRC'S " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and the
enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
