UNSCHEDULED SHUTDOWN TO REPAIR LEAK ON SEAL INJECTION LINE TO REACTOR COOLANT PUMP A small leak developed in a socket weld on a drain line from the seal injection headers to the reactor coolant pump.
Corrective maintenance to effect repairs includes draining the reactor coolant water to an elevation below the pump seals and is expected to require a facility shutdown of one week. The leak did not result in any radioactivity release to the environment.
Media interest is not expected.
The State of New York has been informed.
A press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC.
