- LICENSED ACTIVITIES (EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY)
This is to inform the Commission that a Confirmatory Order Prohibiting involvement in -
NRC-Licensed Activities will be issued on or about August 19,1999, to Stanislaw Piorek, an
. unlicensed individual formerly employed by.New Technology Development for Metorex, Inc.,
an NRC licensee. This action is based on an NRC inspection and investigation which concluded that Dr. Piorek engaged in deliberate misconduct in violation of 10 C.F.R. 30.10, j
f which caused the licensee to be in vio'-* ion of NRC requirements. Specifically: (1) Dr.
1 P!orek' deliberately failed to sto' _...utnorized shipments of x-ray fluorescence analyzer idevices, which caused the licensee to be in violation of 10 CFR 30.3; and (2) Dr. Piorek
.' deliberately failed to submit quarterly reports to the NRC, which caused the licensee to be in violation.of a violation of 10 CFR 32.52.
The Order requires, in part, that: (1) Dr. Piorek not engage in NRC-licensed activities for a period of three years; (2) no less than five days prior to the first time that Dr. Piorek engages in NRC-licensed activities during a period of five years following the 3-year prohibition, Dr. Piorek provide written notice to the NRC of the name, address, and telephone number of the NRC or Agreement State licensee and the location where the licensed activities will be performed.'
