SUBJECT:

OVERFLOW 0F SPENT FUEL PIT On September 5, while equalizing water levels between the Fuel Transfer Canal and the Spent Fuel Pit (SFP), 3,300 gallons overflowed into the cask washdown area and the storm drain system, which is outside the SFP building. Water samples indicate that 0.6 curies of radioactivity were contained in the overflow. Th'e storm drain system discharges into an on-site underground drain field. The o;erflow was confined to the
