Dear Dr. Paperiello:
Dy ietter dated June 26,1997 (lleference 1), USEC submitted an amendment request to revise Compliance Plan issue.18 concerning the liigh-Volume Ambient Air Samplers. The NRC statThas determined that the proposed approach is equivalent to and meets the goal of the Compliance Plan issue as currently written, and, therefore, in accordance with Mr. Pierson's letter of August 4,1997 (Reference 2), USEC hereby withdraws this amendment request.
Reference 2 also requested that USEC forward a copy of the 1996 NESilAP report. On May 23,1997 (Reference 3) USEC transmitted the 1996 National Emission Standard for liarardous Air Pollutant (NESilAP) Annual Report for the Paducah Gaseous DifTusion Plant (PGDP) to DOE. A copy of that tiansmittalis enclosed for your information.
