By letter dated December 30,1997, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) proposed to amend the Farley Nuclear Plant Unit I and Unit 2 Technical Specifications surveillance requirements for the Auxiliary Building (AB) and the Service Water (SW) Building batteries. The proposed changes were provided in Attachment I, and the technical basis for these changes was provided in the safety assessment report in Attachment II. (See referenced SNC letter.) Unit I technical specification page 3/4 8-13 included typographical changes that were not described in the safety assessment. Specifically, the footnotes on page 3/4 8-13 were revised by changing " greater that" to read " greater than," as shown in the Unit 1 Technical Specifications Marked-up Pages of Attaclunent I. 'Ihe purpose of this letter is to clarify that the changes to these footnotes are editorial changes only. SNC has determined that the editorial changes do not change the conclusions of the significant hazards evaluation which was provided in Attachment III.
