Dear Mr. Farrar:
SUBJECT:
BYRON SPENT FUEL P00L EXPANSION-REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (TACN0s.62112,63266)
By letter dated November 25, 1986 we sent you a request for additional information that we need to complete our review of your September 3,1986 amendment to rerack the Byron spent fuel pool. However, recent anomalies were found in the Boraflex neutron absorbing material used in the spent fuel pools of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant and Quad Cities Station. Since Boraflex will be used in the proposed reracking at Byron, we have enclosed a request for additional information.
For further clarification, please contact Leonard N. 01shan, Byron Project Manager,at(301)492-8649. The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements of this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under PL 96-511.
Sincerely, Original Signed By/
