STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-98-018 - PROPOSED LICENSE TO EXPORT SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL (XSNM02999) TO BRAZIL The Commission has authorized the issuance of export license XSNM02999 to Siemens Power Corporation for the export of low-enriched uranium fuel to Brazil.
Brazil's letter of assurance regarding maintenance of physical protection of nuclear materialis dated September 27,1978. Given the lapse of time, staff should contact the Executive Branch and ask them to consider obtaining an updated letter from the Government of Brazilin this regard.
