o Docket Nos.: 50-327 and 50-328 Mr. S. A. White Manager of Nuclear Power Tennessee Valley Authority DCT 2 7 1986 6N 38A Lookout Place 1101 Market Street Chattanooga, Tennessee 37402-2801 i

Dear Mr. White:

Subject:

Status of Information Needed to Support Sequoyah Restart The staff is in the process of reviewing the NRC schedules and the allocation of resources to support the TVA restart of Sequoyah. There are many items where input is needed from TVA in order for the staff to continue their review of those areas. While the need for some of this information has developed during recent review efforts, many have been rescheduled numerous times.

In order to assist you in providing us a meaningful schedule of forthcoming activities, the enclosed list has been developed from previous schedules, letters requesting additional infonnation, technical meetings and discussions with your staff.

Please note that the list does not address any of the Employee Concerns Task Group submittals, allegations, or Nuclear Safety Review Staff issues. Although these subjects are not addressed in the enclosure, the schedules of all of the information needed by the staff to complete its evaluations in a timely manner to support a restart determination for Sequoyah should be factored into your projected startup date.

It should be noted that the items identified in the enclosure do not cover issues which are required as part of the staff's inspection efforts. Those issues are usually addressed by the responsible office.

A meeting has been established for November 6,1986, in Bethesda, Maryland to discuss this matter.

8610300133 861027 Sincerely, S PDR ADCCK 05000327 P
