i In accordance with the above reference, INEL is providing technical assistance to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, in the evaluation of plant-specific licensing actions.
Enclosed is the final Technical Evaluation Report (TER) documenting the evaluation of the integrated systeias study of control rod drive mechanisms rod position indication instrumentation for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station (TAC No. 62198). The conclusion of the report is that the licensee has not complied with the NRC directive to prepare an engineering evaluation of the problems experienced with the control rod drive rod position indication instrumentation and has not proposed acceptable component replacements. The enclosed TER completes the work scope requirements of Task 1-14.
