Fort St. Vrain Rod Position Instrumentation Integrated Systems Study

NRC Letter, Denton to Walker, dated 10/16/84 (G-84392)
Dear Mr. Berkow Attached please find the Fort St. Vrain Control Rod Position Instrumentation (RPI) integrated Systems Study (PSC document Engineering E*aluation EE-12-0013).
This study was specified as a long term action item in the referenced letter directed towards resolving unreliable performance of the RPI.
i As indicated in our report, we plan to install upgraded indication
(
instrumentation for a selected number of control rod pairs during the next refueling outage.
We will monitor the performance of the l
instrumentation and if results are favorable, an action plan will be developed fcr upgrading the control rod drive position indication equipment consistent with the overall control rod drive maintenance program.
