EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION - EDWIN I. HATCH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 This letter confirms the dates of November 3 through 7,1986 for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection of Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2.
These dates were established during a telephone conversation with Mr. Trent Powers of your staff and Mr. R. C. Wilson of the NRC. We have also discussed the logistics of the inspection in detail with your staff. The entire inspection will take place at the plant site.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on November 3,1986.
A management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on November 7, 1986. A plant walkdown inspection of equipment is tentatively planned for November 5, 1986.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 program including preservation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.
2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.
3.
Review of EQ documentation files.
4 Physical inspection of selected equipment.
