A routine safety inspection of your solid radioactive waste processing, prepa-
ration, packaging and shipping program was conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse of
this office on May 4-8, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC License No.
DPR-61. Our findings were discussed with Mr. D. Miller and others of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection on May 8, 1987.
The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector,

attention in the enclosure to our letter, dated July 22, 1986.
The corrective actions presented at the Enforcement Conference on June 18, 1986
and in your letter dated August 21, 1986, appear to be adequate to prevent
