By letter dated June 20, 1984, the Authority was informed of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) staff's denial of your January 26,1984 request for a temporary exemption from the requirements of the licensed operator staffing rule for the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant. This application is subject to the fee provisions of 10 CFR 170.22 of the March 23, 1978 regulations.. Therefore, the Authority is requested to remit a Class III fee ($4,000) to this office since the review involved consideration of a single safety issue. We regret the delay in informing you that fees are due for your January 26, 1
