Gentlemen:
This refers to the special safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. J. R.
'Kniceley of this office, on May 26-28, 1987, of activities at Dresden. Nuclear-
Power Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No.
DPR-02, No. DPR-19, and No. DPR-25, and to the telephone discussion of our
.
findings with Messrs. B. Saunders and J. Mayer at.the conclusion of the
inspection,
This'special inspection was conducted to review your investigation.of possible
~ tampering of equipment at Dresden Station. The enclosed copy.of our
inspection report identified areas examined during the inspection and
consisted of examination of licensee investigative findings _and interviews
with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning t
inspection.
