APPENDIX A NOTICE OF DEVIATION Philadelphia Electric Company Docket No. 50-353 Limerick, Unit No. 2 License No.CPPR-107 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 4-14, 1987 and in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR 2, Appendix C) the following deviation was identified.

On September 24, 1981 the licensee by telephone reported to the NRC a potential 10 CFR 50.55(e) deficiency in the adequacy of the electrical distribution system to provide the required voltage levels to some class 1E circuits. The report was confirmed by letter to the NRC dated October 22, 1981 in which the licensee made a commitment to complete both the design changes and installation to correct the affected circuits by June 1986.

Contrary to the above the licensee has not provided evidence to demonstrate either completion of the design changes required or the physical installations to provide for the required voltage levels to class 1E components.

Philadelphia Electric Corporation is hereby requested to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of the letter which transmitted this notice a written statement or explanation in reply including: (1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further deviations; and (3) the date when full conformance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending this response.
