Inspection No. 50-423/87-10
This letter refers to~ the routine inspection conduct'ed by Mr. H. Gregg of this
office on May 4-8, 1987, at the Millstone Nuclear' Power Station, Unit 3,
Waterford, Connecticut. Mr. H. Gregg discussed the findings of the inspection
with Mr. C. Clement and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the-
inspection.
.The objective of.this inspection was to review your activities' related to
snubber visual surveillances and several previously identified problem items.
The previously identified problem items included Main Steam Safety Valve ring
settings, PORV. leakage,'and Control Room pressurization.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection,~no violations were observed.
