SUBJECT: NRC REVIEW OF V0GTLE READINESS REVIEW MODULE NO.19,
ELECTRICAL SUPPORTS - REPORT NO. 50-424/86-48
The NRC has completed a detailed review, inspection, and verification of the
subject Module which you submitted to ' the NRC on April 10, 1986.
Periodic
inspections were conducted at the Vogtle site and the resultant findings were
. discussed with members of' your staff at the conclusion of these inspections.
Technical reviews also were conducted in NRC Bethesda offices and the findings
from these reviews have been discussed with your staff.
Areas contained- in the module, which were reviewed, examined, and verified, are
identified in the enclosed report.
Within these areas, the inspection and
verification consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative
records, discussions with personnel, observctions of activities in progress, and
review of your licensing commitments.
The results of Module No.19 reviews and inspections are summarized as Inspector
Followup Items. Your attention is invited to the inspector followup item which
will be pursued during future licensing reviews and inspections.
Based upon the NRC reviews and inspections of those activities identified in the
module, we have determined that the activity control of the Licensee's programs
for design and construction Electrical Supports for Category I structures at
i
Vogtle Unit No.1 are acceptable and comply with applicable regulatory require-
ments with the exception of those items or areas identified in the Report. This
decision is based on information currently available to the inspectors and =
reviewers.
Should information subsequently become available which was not
considered durirg this review or which conflicts with earlier information, it
will be evaluated to determine what effect it may have on the above conclusion.
