RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 87-06 SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION i

DOCKET NOS. 50-272, 50-311, 50-354 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) offers the following response with regard to the periodic verification of the leak tight integrity of pressure isolation valves (PIVs) at the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Statlons.

The valves in question and their leak rate testing requirements are included in Technical Specification 4.4.6.3 for Salem Unit 1, 4.4.7.2 for Salem Unit 2 and 4.4.3.2.2 for Hope Creek.

This information is also included in the Inservice Testing Programs for Salem Unit Nos. I and 2 and Hope Creek.
