Thank you for your letter dated May 18, 1987, informing us of the steps you
have taken to correct the items which we brought to your attention in our
letter dated April 20, 1987.
Our review of your response letter noted actions that you are taking to
assure fulfilling your commitments to the NRC. We also noted your plans for
revising those surveillance procedures you need for restart prior to
restart. However, our review could not identify actions you are taking
regarding the recording of calibration data for instruments used during
surveillances which are currently being performed. Calibration data for
instruments used should be recorded when the surveillances are perfomed to
validate the surveillance. Please further clarify this subject in your
response to the Notice of Violation.
