  • CORRECTIVE ACTION:

A check sample taken about one hour after the initial sample

- showed the same results. Four check samples, taken about 10 :30-11:00 at various places in the settling basin to prepare for neutralization, showed pH results of 7.6-8.6. As a result of these readings no further action was needed.

PREVENTION OF FUTURE OCCURRENCES The raw water sump pH meter was calibrated on October 24, 1986. The neutralizing sump meter was checked on November 6, 1986 and another maintenance request form was 4

submitted. The performance of these pH meters will be tracked via the water treatment plant chemistry , weekly data sheets.

Very truly yours,
