REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-57 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-354 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby provides additional information in support of the emergency request for amendment submitted on June., 1987 and supplemented in a transmittal dated June 2, 1987.
The referenced request revised Technical Specification Table 3.3.7.5-1, Accident Monitoring Instrumentation, and would permit Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS) to avert an unnecessary plant shutdown as a result of an inoperable acoustic monitor for Safety Relief Valve (SRV)
- F013H.
PSE&G commits to restore the inoperable acoustic monitor to OPERABILITY if HCGS experiences a forced outage of sufficient duration to effect repairs prior to our presently scheduled September 21, 1987, outage.
Otherwise, the acoustic monitor for F013H SRV may be inoperable until September 21, 1987, without applying the shutdown requirement of ACTION 80(a).
Attached please find a revised copy of the subject Technical Specification with this commitment appropriately noted.
