Dear Administrative Judges:
This will confirm cy phone call of June 2,1987, informing the Board of the Staff's intention to offer as Staff Exhibits in the upcoming hearing in the captioned proceeding, the following documents:
Franklin Research Center Technical Report on the Evaluation of Spent Fuel Racks Structural Analyses Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Diablo Canyon Units 1 and 2, Revised, May 28, 1987 Technical Evaluation Report of the Brookhaven National Laboratory Evaluation of Structural Adequacy of the Diablo Canyon High Density Spent Fuel Racks In Accommodating Multiple Rack Impacts During the Postulated Ilosgri Earthquake, May,1987.
These documents will be identifled as Staff Exhibits 1-A and 1-B,
respectively. A copy of each is enclosed.
The parties were also informed of the foregoing by phone on June 2 and will be sent copies by express mail delivery this date.
The Staff is mindful of the Board's admonition concerning the need to identify documents to be offered as evidence in this proceeding as stated in its Memorandum and Order of December 1, 1986.
