Monthly Average Analysis 2.95 mg/l Permit Limitation: 2.0 mg/l Monthly Average i CAUSE OF NONCOMPLIANCE: .

The cause of the noncompliance is the Sawage Treatment Plant is not able to reduce the phosphorus to below the permit limit.

The problem was compounded by the filters being out of service 1 allowing;slightly higher solids on the effluent, i

DURATION OF NONCOMPLIANCE:

The duration of the noncompliance nas continued since the receipt of the new permit limits in October, 1985 except for August and November, 1986.

. et CORRECTIVE ACTION:

The filters were returned to service on May 4, 1987.

PREVENTION OF FUTURE OCCURRENCES:

Modifications are underway to move the Ultrion chemical injection upstream of the sewage plant which should result in better chemical control and better phosphorus removal. Estimated completion is August, 1987.
