This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. R. J. Bailey
of this office on July 1-3 and 7-11,1986 at the Limeric.k Generating Station,
Limerick, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by NRC L. cense No. NPF-39 and
to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Bailey witi Mr. G. Leitch of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection and to sub:equent telephone
discussions between Messrs. P. Supplee and J. Basilio with Mr. Bailey on
August 18 and 19, 1986 respectively.
Areas examined during this inspection re described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed witn this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
A paragraph in the enclosed inspection report contains details of your security
program that have been determined to be exempt from public disclosure in accor-
dance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information). Therefore, the paragraph so
identified in the inspection report will not be placed in the NRC Public
Document Room and will receive limited distribution. This letter and the
remaining portions of the inspection report will be placed in the Public
Document Room, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a).
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
