10 CFR 50.49 EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION, PEACH BOTTOM UNITS 2&3 (50-277/87-18, 50-278/87-18)

This letter confirms the dates of June 15-19, 1987 for the NRC 10 CFR 50.49 equipment qualification (EQ) inspection at Peach Bottom Units 2&3. These dates were established during a conference call on May 20, 1986 between Mr. D. Thompson and other members of your organization and Mr. R. Paolino of the NRC Region I office. The inspection will take place at the Corporate Office in Philadelphia with a one day trip on June 17, 1987 to the plant site.

A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on June 15, 1987. The management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on June 19, 1987.

The inspection will include the following:

1. Review of your implementation of 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program, including preservation of qualified status of equipment.

2. Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.

3. Review of EQ documentation files.

4. Physical inspection of equipment from the Master List.

One week prior to the inspection we will require one copy of each document identified in attachment I with a plus (+) mark.
