CDALITION FOR ALTERNATIVES TO SHEARON HARRIS
& WELLS EDDLEMAH"S REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME IN WHICH TO RESPOND TO THE COMMISSION"S ORDER OF SEPTEMBER 12, 1986.
Now comes the Coalition for Alternatives to Shearon Harris (CASH) and Wells Eddleman, requesting an extension of time in which to . respond to the Order of the Commission dated Sep-tember 12, 1986.
The Commission order, in response to CASH & Eddleman's request for a hearing pursuant to section 189 (a) of the Atomic Energy Act, requires an analysis of 10 CFR 50.12 Specific Exemptions.
There are six criterin for the granting of an exemption. The applicant has sought to justify their exemption request on the basis of four of the criteria. In addition, CASH & Eddleman are required to answer ten descrete issues of law or fact.
In light of novel issues of law which we intend to raise in B609290024 86 QOO PDR ADOCK O PDR Q
r response to the September 12th Order, the extensive analysis requi:6ed 'to develope the varrious issues in a cogent and com-prehensive manner, and the substantial time libitations which our Washington attorneys are under, CASH & Eddleman respectfully requests that the Commission grant an extension of time in which to respond to the Order of September 12th. A reasonable ex-tention would involve two weeks from the September 29th dead-line and documents could be filed during the week of October 13th.
