dated October 10, 1986 In accordance with our' referenced letter, this submittal provides the follow-up report of fire-rated assemblies (specifically fire doors) found inoperable during routine surveillances in October 1986.

Fire doors found inoperable during the October routine surveillances are identified in the Attachment and include.15 latching mechanism failures and I closure mechanism failure.

No doors were found blocked open in October. As each of these deficiencies was identified, compensatory fire watches, pursuant to Technical Specification 3.7.9, Action Statement 'a', were established.

Door mechanism failures are being corrected on an "as found" basis.
