MAY 2 8 1987 Note to Files TELEPHONE CONVERSATION CONCERNING CRITICALITY CONTROLS FOR OPERATIONS AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY (DOCKET 70-152)
On May 14, 1987, I discussed with Dr. Gordon Born, Purdue University, additional infomation that was needed for the completion of the criticality safety review concerning the renewal of Special Nuclear Material License No.
SNM_142.
Justification was needed on imposed limits relating to storage of fuel and fuel handling procedures needed to be more clearly defined.
Dr. Born suggested that we use the justifications provided in an Addenda dated August 12, 1981.
In describing the fuel handling procedures, Dr. Born stated that fuel will be transported in 8 inch diameter cylinders with only a single cylinder transported at one time.
