PROCESS CONTROL PROGRAM LICENSE CONDITION 2.C.8 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 The Hope Creek Process Control Program (PCP) addressing Class A waste processing was submitted for NRC review in a letter from R.

L. Mittl ( PS E&G ) to W.

Butler (NRC) dated August 21, 1985, I

and approved by the NRC as documented in a letter to R.

L. Mitti ( PS E&G) from W.

Butler (NRC) dated October 4, 1985.

d The August 21, 1985 submittal stated that PSE&G was 4

b participating in a testing conformance program sponsored by the WasteChem Corporation.

The purpose of this program is to obtain f,

I pre-qualification data for Class B and Class C waste in accordance with the requirements of the Branch Technical Position (BTP) pertaining to Waste Classification and Waste fs Fo rm.

In this regard PSE&G notes that the testing performance 1

program is complete and the results of this program are presented in the enclosed amended PCP.

I In addition, PSE&G notes that revisions to Section 7.0

" Temporary Radwaste Vendor" are included in this submittal.

These revisions define the specific interface between any temporary radwaste vendor and Hope Creek.

PSE&G requests that interim approval allowing Chem Nuclear Services Inc., the Hope

topical report progresses through NRC review.
