(Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2)

Docket Nos. 50-424 and 50-425 O L

Dear Mr. Bordenick:

In its July 17, 1986 " Memorandum and Order (Ruling On Appli-cants' Motion For Summary Disposition of Contention EP-5)," the Licensing Board found that adequate reception center capacity would be readily available in the event of a Vogtle emergency.

l The Licensing Board further directed the NRC Staff and FEMA to assure that the information on reception center capacity was in-corporated into the local emergency plans, where it had not al-ready been included.

t By letter to NRC Staff and FEMA counsel dated August 4, 1986, counsel for Applicants addressed the inclusion of reception center information in the emergency plans for the four counties in the EPZ. The NRC Staff's August 14, 1986 letter to the Li-censing Board reflected this information. Subsequently, by let-

' ter dated August 27, 1986, the Licensing Board has specifically l inquired about the incorporation of information on reception cen-ters into the emergency plan for Savannah River Plant. The en-closed " Supplemental Affidavit of Kevin P. Twine on Contention EP-5" addresses the upcoming revision to the SRP Plan, which will include information on reception centers. This commitment re-solves the Licensing Board's concern.

Sincerely yours, Bruce W. Churchill Enclosure cc: Service List (attached w/ encl.)
