Dear Mr. Keppler:
At the request of Commonwealth Edison Company, Pinkerton's, Inc. has assigned an investigator as a guard at l
Quad-Cities Nuclear Power Station.
The purpose of assigning the investigator is to observe the activities of James McKay, a guard, and to determine if allegations previously described are credible.
Daily reports are being provided, however no substantial information concerning Mr. McKay's allegations has been received.
i Information received during the next thirty days concerning the allegations will be su:nmarized and provided to you in a final report on Aoril 29, 1977.
Additionally, we will continue providing reports by telephone if appropriate.
This letter addresses a subject matter exempt from disclosure according to Section 2 790 of the Nuclear Regulatory o
Com:nission " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
Consequently, this letter and enclosure should not be placed in the public docwnent room.
